We fell in love with these gorgeous sweet treats by Simone Gooding of May Blossom when we saw them in a magazine recently and I just had to try to see if they would look as appetizing when I made them.
So far I have made the chocolate cake, the strawberry tart and the Swiss roll and am thrilled with the results. I used them as a display recently when I was part of a group catering a High Tea for 200 people and they were much admired.
Now I am quite addicted to making them … just to see what they would look like in a different colour …or perhaps with different beads … or different coloured icing … or maybe flowers as a garnish instead of strawberries … mmm and absolutely no calories either.
Stop me someone before my house is filled with fake cakes!
